Last December, just 11 days after surgery, I was recovering at home. I was awakened at 6:00am by a loud noise in the laundry room of our condo. The ceiling was falling in and water was gushing out all over. I could see that the hardwood floors were wet and the carpet in the back bedroom was soaked.
The security people came and turned off the water. At 8:00am a builder and forman who happened to be in our building came to assess our damage. There was extensive damage to the hardwood floors, carpet, laundry room walls and cabinets. I called Arnold Holzer, Jr. and our account manager Ginny McNally. Arnold came to our home immediately. He was so comforting. He confirmed what the builder had told us about the damage. Arnold told us not to worry and assured us that everything would be restored or replaced.
As the rebuilding progressed, checks were issued in a timely manner. We had to move out of our condo, but they found us a comparable condo in which to stay. Throughout the whole process, Ginny and Arnold were in constant contact with us and very reassuring.
You always hear about insurance people. But I can't praise Arnold and Ginny enough about the way they handled our situation. What could have been a very unhappy experience turned into a reassuring one. I think they deserve a lot of credit. I am so glad to have them on our side.
